FRED MANGIONE

I am an enterprise sports executive with over 25 years of experience leading revenue transformation across professional franchises, mega-events, and multi-venue ecosystems. Throughout my career, I have built integrated commercial models that span sponsorship, media, and premium seating. I am recognized for my ability to build pro-sports-style revenue engines in complex environments, aligning diverse stakeholders to unlock new enterprise growth pathways.

Currently, I serve as the Chief Business Officer for the New York-New Jersey Host Committee for the FIFA World Cup. In this role, I lead the commercial strategy for eight matches, including the Final. My work involves building governance alignment with FIFA leadership, state leadership, and private partners to ensure a lasting economic legacy for the region.

Beyond the World Cup, I advised brands through my firm, MM Sports Consulting. I have supported the Big 12 in strategic front-office development. As well as the NY Islanders and the New York Red Bulls. I was instrumental in selling the Naming Rights for the New York Red Bulls for Sports Illustrated Stadium.

My executive journey includes serving as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the New York Jets, where I delivered annual revenue and elevated the franchise to a Top 5 NFL revenue ranking for a non-playoff team. I also spent nearly two decades with the NJ/Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center in roles including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer. I was a key leader during the historic Nets relocation and the global launch of Barclays Center, building an integrated revenue ecosystem across the franchise and the venue.

Deeply committed to mentorship, I am also an Adjunct Professor at New York University, where I instruct a Senior Seminar in Leadership for students entering the sports field.
